Keiji Inafune and Brent Arnst created the action-adventure game, Dead Rising. The series follows the exploits of Frank West, a photojournalist caught in the heart of a zombie apocalypse. The first game in the series was released in 2006, and since then, five additional titles have been produced, including two remakes and one spin-off title. Dead Rising features an original blend of combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, and item acquisition. Players can make weapons out of objects found in the environment to fight off swarms of zombies while completing goals.
