Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. The game is played using first person perspective.
The main storyline is based in the fictional American Megacity called Night City located in the Free State of North California. The city is divided into six main regions including Santo Domingo, Watson, Westbrook, Heywood, Pacifica and the Corporate City Center. A metropolitan masterpiece, the city uses robotics for tasks like public transportation, waste collection and basically everything else. The city is exempted from the laws that apply to the rest of the country and this allows the underworld and the corporate elites to butt heads over the ultimate control of the city. In order to counter this ever looming threat of violence and anarchy, the city has deployed the Psycho Squad. The city allows all its residents to carry firearms in public and features Trauma teams to provide efficient medical services in times of a mishappening.
The game assigns you the role of a mercenary by the name of V who has access to different character classes including Techie, NetRunner and Solo. These classes specialize in machinery, hacking and combat respectively. Additionally, the game allows you to completely customize V including his voice, face, clothes, body type and whatnot. The game allows you to inflict and receive four types of damages including Thermal, Physical, Chemical and EMP. However the game can be completed without killing a single enemy. If you do choose to engage in combat, you must do it with caution as certain locations can alert law Enforcement in case of a crime. The game features a unique device known as Braindance which allows V to experience other people’s lives. As you progress through the game, you gain experience points which can be used to make upgrades and unlock additional items. The game features several main quests which you can acquire from “Fixers”. In addition to that, there are several side quests.
The game features three types of weapons including Power which are regular weapons, Tech which can penetrate obstacles and Smart which use homing bullets. Additionally, there are a variety of Close combat weapons that V can use in melee attacks. The accuracy and reloading speed of these weapons increases as you use them and you have the ability to customize and upgrade them to your liking. In addition to that, if you weapon breaks down, you can take it to a gunsmith who can then repair it. V can also purchase and upgrade Cyberware implants by consulting a ripperdoc. With the ability to run, jump, double jump, aim and take cover, V can outfight some of the baddest villains in the game. The game features multiple endings and your actions affect the outcome of the game.
