You will need the Artisan table to make the Blast Furnace. You need to have 20 fine wood, 10 iron, five cores and 20 stones. After that, go to your crafting area in the workbench and select your blast furnace.
The blast furnace has both ports on the left-hand side and it is mainly used to smelt down the black metal scrap. You will need two pieces of coals to smelt one metal scrap.
