How to Add Child Account to Xbox Live

This guide will let you know how to Add a Child Account to Xbox Live. Go through the guide and follow all the instructions to do so.

1- The first thing you will need to do is open your web browser and go to account.microsoft.com, it will take you to the official site of Microsoft. You have to click on the Sign In button at the top right corner of the screen and then enter the username and password linked to your Microsoft account which is also linked to your Xbox Live account. After that, click on Sign In.

2- You will then arrive at your Microsoft Account home screen. Now you have to click on the Add A Family Member button on the right side of your screen and the Add Family Member tab will open up. You have to click on the Add Family Member button again.

3- Now the Add Family window will appear in front of you. In case your kids have a Microsoft email address, enter it in the Email or Mobile Number box, enter the Captcha, and then click on the Send Invite button at the bottom of your screen. In case your child won’t have a Microsoft account, then you need to click on the “Create one for them” option.

4- After that, the signup screen will open up, you can choose to link your child’s account with one of your Microsoft email addresses, or you can create a new email address for them. After entering the new email and password, you have to click on the Next button.

5- After that, enter the first name and last name of your child which is linked to your child’s account, and then click on the Next button. A new window will pop up and you need to enter your child’s birthdate and location information. After that, click on the Next button.

 6- After this, a Create Account screen appears to verify that you’re a real person. Then you have to enter the captcha code on the Create Account screen, and click on the Next button again.

7- A new tab will open asking you in case you want to let your child use a Microsoft account. You have to come down to the bottom of the screen, and click on the Yes button.

8- After this, the password window will appear and you have to enter your account password for verification. Enter the password, and click on the Sign-In button.

9- After this, the tab asking you in case you want to let your child use a Microsoft account will open again. You have to come down to the bottom of the screen, and click on the Yes button.

10- It will take you to the Charge This Card to Verify My Age tab. To verify your age, Microsoft charges the card associated with your account $.50. Now you have to click on the Confirm button.

11- After this, your family screen will appear, where you’ll see the name of the child you added now appear in the Family Members section.

12- Now you have to add your child’s account to your Xbox one family account. For this first, you have to open the Xbox One home screen. Now you have to click on your Xbox tag and then you have to press A on your controller. Then a menu will open on the left side of your screen. now you have to click on settings.

13- Select “Account” in the list of options on the left side of the screen, and then choose “Family” on the right side of the screen. After this, your password screen will appear in front of you. Here you have to enter your password and then you have to click on start.

14- After this, the account family screen will open up. You have to click on Add to the family and then enter the email of the person you want to add to your family. After that, enter your password for confirmation.
