First, you have to go to the home screen of your Xbox and then click on your profile. After that, click on the Online status and set it to Appear Offline.
After this, you have to press the PlayStation button, then go to your profile and click on the logout button. It will bring you to the sign-in page, you need to select your profile and then press options on it. Click on Appears Offline as it will show you offline without signing in. By this, your friends will never see you logged in.
You can also do this on the PlayStation app. For this, you have to open the app and then click on the settings button in front of your profile. After that, scroll down until you find Online stats under the Console management. Click on the Online Status and then select Appear Offline.
