How to Download Steam Workshop Mods for Non-Steam Games

This step-by-step guide will show you how to download and install the fantastic mods available on the Steam Workshop for your non-Steam games. You’ll need 7-Zip or a similar tool for extracting files.

Step 1: Obtain Steam CMD

  • Visit the official Steam CMD page at developer.valvesoftware.com.
  • Once on the Steam CMD page, find the “Download” link to get the zip file of the Steam CMD.

Step 2: Create a Steam CMD Folder

  • If you don’t already have a folder named “Steam CMD”, you’ll need to create one to keep things organized. Navigate to the drive where you want to save Steam CMD and create a folder there.

Step 8: Download Your Mod

  • If it works with an Anonymous login, click ‘Yes’ to get a SteamCMD command.
