This will show you how to fix the Strict NAT Type on the Xbox Series X using the easiest method. Go through the guide and follow all the instructions carefully to do so.
- First, you need to go to Settings on the main screen. Under General Settings, select Network Settings, and further navigate to Advanced Settings.
- On the left side of the screen, find Alternate Port Selection and choose Manual. Try selecting a different port from the available options.
The one you’re currently using might be causing a strict NAT type.
- Once you’ve selected a different port, confirm your selection by choosing Continue. Go back and look for Current Network Status on the right side of the screen.
It will display the NAT type. If it says Open, you should be good to go. - If it still says Strict, repeat the process by changing the port until it shows Open.
