Starfield HD Reworked Project reworks the game assets to better quality that will significantly improve the overall graphics and ensure good performance. This mode will preserving original art style.
To install the HD Reworked Project mod in Starfield, you can follow these straightforward methods:
Method 1:
1. Begin by downloading the main file and then unpack it. Afterward, take the Data folder and transfer it to this directory: C:\users\%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Starfield\. If prompted, choose to override any existing files.
2. Now enable Archive Invalidation through INI settings. Alternatively, you may opt to download the StarfieldCustom.ini file from the optional files section. If you choose the latter option, move the downloaded file into the Documents\My Games\Starfield\ directory.
Method 2:
If you prefer to have the modification files within the main game folder instead of your documents, you can follow this method:
1. Download the main file and unpack it. Then, copy the contents of the Data folder to your Starfield main directory. If prompted, choose to override any existing files.
Starfield location on Windows:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield
Starfield location on Steam:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\
2. Open the StarfieldCustom.ini file from the Documents\My Games\Starfield\ directory and add the following lines under the appropriate sections:
[General]
bEnableMessageOfTheDay=0
[Display]
sPhotoModeFolder=Photos
or you can download the StarfieldCustom.ini – Starfield main folder from the optional files section. After downloading, move this .ini file into the Documents\My Games\Starfield\ directory.
3. Now, move all the contents from your Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data folder to the Data folder within the Starfield main directory.
4. Finally, delete the Data folder located in Documents\My Games\Starfield\ to complete the installation process.
