How to Install Instant Scan Mod in Starfield

“Instant Scan” makes surveying easier in Starfield by lowering the number of scans necessary for flora and fauna surveys to just 1 or 3. The “Baka Achievement Enabler” is advised for accomplishment hunters because it might block achievements.

To install the Instant Scan mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:

• First, download the Instant Scan mod from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
• After downloading the mod file, you’ll need to paste the data folder into the Starfield game directory.

Starfield location:

Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield 

Starfield location (Steam):

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\

Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.

• Now, download the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file, which can be found in the ‘Misc’ folder.
• Move the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file to the ‘Starfield’ directory.
• If you already have the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file, simply add the following line under the [General] section (create it if it isn’t already there) of the file.

• If you already have an existing “sStartingConsoleCommand=” line, append the new line to it like this: 

sStartingConsoleCommand=bat othermods;bat InstantScan

This ensures that the new command will also be executed alongside any existing ones.

Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.
