How to install Richer Merchants Mod in Starfield

Richer Merchants mod is used to increase the amount of credit held by all merchants.

To install the Richer Merchants mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:

  • First, download and install Plugins.txt Enabler from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
  • Now go to the root directory of your Starfield game and extract the ESP file into the “Data” folder.
  • After that navigate to the “AppData\Local\Starfield” folder and open the “Plugins.txt” file. If it doesn’t exist, create a new text file and name it “Plugins.txt”.
  •  Now simply copy and paste the following line into your “Plugins.txt” file:

            *RicherMerchants.esp

  • Then, download the Richer Merchants mod from the Nexus site. 
  • After downloading the mod file, you’ll need to paste the content of the zip file into the Starfield game directory.

Starfield location:

Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield 

Starfield location (Steam):

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\

Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.

  • If the above method doesn’t work, try placing the ESM file into the ‘Data’ folder of the ‘Starfield’ directory.

Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.

That’s it! Your mod is now installed. You can try it out by launching the game.
