How to Play RLCRAFT with Friends (Make Server)

This guide will let you know how to Play RLCRAFT with Friends (Make a server free) in 2022.

1- First, right-click on your desktop and then a new folder, the name of the folder should be RLCraft Server. You will need this folder to save the servers in it.

2- After that, click on the following link https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/rlcraft/files and it will take you to the official site of the RLCraft server from where you can download the server.

3- Under the RLCraft server, click on the Files tab and scroll down under the additional files. Then click on the Download button.

4- If you want to make a server for an older version of your craft. Let’s say that you prefer playing the 2.8 version, then click on View All and it will bring you to all files. Scroll down a little bit and you will find all the server pack 2.9.1 2.9 and a lot of other versions in case you want to play the older versions of craft.

5- Once the service pack is downloaded, drag and drop it on your desktop. After that, right-click on it and unzip this zip file.

6- Then open the extracted folder, copy all the files in it and paste them into the new folder that you have created on your desktop.

7- Now, install forge 1.12.2. For this, open up the following link https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.12.2.html and it will take you to the official website of Forge. You can find the version on the left side of the screen. Then click on the Installer button.

8- Once the forge is downloaded, go into the server folder that you created earlier and drag the download file of Forge and drop it into the server folder.

9- To play forge 1.12.2 or any modded version of the older Minecraft, you will need to install java 8.

10 – To get java 8, click on the following link https://itzcubatutorials.com/install-java-18-easily/. Once you reach this site, click on the Download Java button as it will take you to the official Java download page.

11- Then select the java version you want to download from the top, scroll down and click on the x64bit installer link.

11- Once the Set up file is downloaded, you need to install it into your PC. After this, your issue will be fixed.

12- If you have two java instances on your computer that are also getting this error, then make sure you only have the right java instance on your computer.

13- To check this, click on the Windows button at the bottom left side of the screen and write add or remove the program. After that, click on it to open it. On the right side of the search list, type Java and it will let you know what Java version you are running on your PC.

14- Remember Any Minecraft version above 1.16.5 will require you to have the newest java version which is java 18th. Any version below Minecraft 1.16.5 will require you to have java 8 and that is the reason you’re getting an error regarding your java installation while trying to run Minecraft.

15- Now open the folder with the server pack, as you will find all the files here, then right-click here and create a new text document. Go ahead and open the new text document and in this document paste the following lines:

4GB Server:

java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2860.jar nogui

PAUSE

16- After pasting this text, minimize the text document and open the Forge file. Then the setup of the forge will open in front of you. Instead of installing the client, make sure you click on Install server and click on the three little dots. Then find the folder that you created earlier which is on the desktop and it’s called RLcraft server. After that, click on the Open button and click on OK.

17- Now open the text document again and find the file that the forged installation created. You will find it created a Minecraft server and created a forge 1.1.2 but don’t copy the Minecraft server.

18- Only select the forge and copy the name of that file by pressing ctrl+c to copy the whole name. Then launch the notepad and where it says change name, add the name of the forger file here.

19- Now, you are going to start a four-gigabyte server. If you want to start three gigabytes server in case your computer doesn’t have that much ram, all you have to do is lower these numbers to three and that would have started a three-gigabyte server but the recommendation is to start a four-gigabyte server.

20- Then press the file button and select Save As from the drop-down menu. Set the file type as All files and set the name of the file as the start.bat file. After that, press the Save button.

21- Make sure that your server is online before you start it. Right-click on server properties and then select edit with notepad.

22- It will bring this up here with a lot of information, the only thing that you need is a string called server IP as you can see server IP is right here. You need to put your local IP you must do all of this before you launch the server.

23- To find your local IP, click on the Windows button at the bottom left side of the screen and then search the command prompt. Then open the command prompt, type ipconfig and press enter as it will bring your IP addresses. From here, copy the IPv4 address and paste it into the text file in front of the server IP.

24- After that, click on the start.bat file to start the server. But it will stop in the middle of the installation it will say to press any key to continue. Once you press any key, it’s going this is because you need to accept the EULA file that was just created as you can see there’s a text document named Eula. Open this file, change the eula=False to True and then press ctrl+s to save the file.

25- Now, run that server one more time and just let it run. You have made an RLcraft server you have a working 2.9.1 RLcraft server, let’s just wait for it to load until it says done. Once it says done, that’s it, your server has been created.

26- It has already added your local IP the server is already ready to be launched for the public.
