Download RPCS3 Set up Files
1- First, click on the following link https://rpcs3.net/ and it will take you to the official site of RPCS3. Once you reach the site, click on the Download button and select download for Windows.
2- After that, click on the following link https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps3/system-software/ and it will take you to the Software update page of PS3. Once you reach this site, right-click on the Download button and select the save link from the drop-down menu.
3- Now download Visual Studio from the following link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170. After that, open the download folder, right-click, select new from the drop-down menu, and then Create a new folder. The name of the folder should be RPCS3 Emulator. Then extract RPCS 3 and install it.
4- Once the extraction completes, open the RPCS3.exe file to launch the Emulator and then click on the file button in the top left corner of the screen. Select Install firmware from the drop-down menu, go into the Downloads folder, and select the PS3 link that you have downloaded from the PS3 website. It will install the PS3 firmware.
5- Now, it will start installing the Firmware and then it will also compile all the Modules.
Add Games
For this, click on the File button in the top left corner of the screen and select Add games option from the drop-down menu. Then go to the location where you have kept your RPCS3 games.
Controller Setup
1- First, set up your controls, click on Options, go to settings, and tap on Input.
2- Make sure that the dark mode is enabled as it will improve your visuals.
3- First, click on configure player 1 then select your controller from the input devices drop-down menu.
4- To map out your buttons, click on the button you want to map and then press the key on your controller/d-pad.
5- After that, come to your profile and click on Add. Select the name for your controller profile and press OK.
Graphics Settings
1- First, you need to open the RPC3 emulator, click on the Configuration tab from the top of the screen and select GPU.
2- You have to set the renderer to Vulkan; in case you don’t have a powerful CPU, then set this to openGL.
3- Now you need to go under the Shader mode on the right side of your screen and select Async. Navigate under the Additional settings, and select v-sync.
4- Also set the graphics Device according to the Graphics card which is installed on your PC.
5- Now, select the CPU tab from the top, then under the SPU decoder, select recompile (LLVM), and under the additional settings, you have to make sure that the enable SPU loop detection is check-marked. You need to set the preferred SPU threads to 1.
6- After that, right-click on the desktop and open the NVidia control panel.
7- On the top left side, click on the “Adjust image settings with preview”, use the advanced 3D image settings that have been selected, and click on Apply. After that, launch the game and see if it fixes your problem.
8- Now, right-click on This PC, go to properties, and navigate to Device Manager on the left side.
9- Expand the Display adapter as it will show you your graphics card, then right-click on it, and then you have to click on Disable Device. Enable it back and then click on Update Drivers.
10- A new window will pop up and you have to click on browse my computer from drivers.
11- Click on let me pick up the driver from the list of available drivers and then select your GPU device. Click on Next and it will start updating your GPU drivers.
12- After that, relaunch RPCS3, click on Configuration, and then click on Advanced. Set the driver wake-up delay to 200 and click on Apply.
13- Make sure that the Accurate LL VM DFMA and PPU LL VM Precompilation both are check-marked. Then click on the Apply button on the bottom right side of the screen.
14- After that, go to MS config, and click on the Boot tab from the top of your screen.
15- Under the boot options, click on advance options and make sure that the maximum memory is unchecked.
16- Also, make sure that the “Number of processors” is turned on and set it to the highest number. Click on OK and Apply and restart your PC.
17- Now open the NVidia control Panel again, select Manage 3D settings, and then select the second option which is program settings. Select the game and then select a program to customize, scroll all the way down to Power management mod, and set it to maximum performance.
18- It will raise your idle clock slightly and help solve the stuttering issues inside the game. Set the Open Render GPU to your GPU and set the preferred refresh rate to the highest.
19- After that, scroll down to anisotropic optimization and enable this. You need to allow Negative load Bois and set the texture filtering quality to high performance. Try linear optimization to threaded optimization and then click on Apply.
20- After that, go down to configure the surround, PhysX, you need to set the processor to Nvidia Geforce. And then click on Apply.
