How to Set up the Minecraft RAM

This guide will tell you how to set up Minecraft RAM. If you give more RAM to Minecraft, then it will give your better performance.

1- The first thing you will need to do is to find out how much Ram you can give to Minecraft. For this, you have to press ctrl+shift+esc at the same time and it will open up the Task Manager of your windows. From here, you have to click on the performance tab from the left side and then click on the memory. In the top right corner, it will show you the total about of RAM in your PC, and at the bottom, it will show the available amount of RAM.

In case you are playing Minecraft, then you have to give the game around 2 to 3 GB of your Ram. If you are playing the game with full modes, then you need to give the game around 4 to 5 GB of RAM. If you are playing the game with super heavy modes, then you have to give the game around 8 GB of RAM. You cannot give Minecraft more than your available RAM.

Now you have to open the Minecraft launcher, then select Java Minecraft from the left side and click on the Installation tab from the top. You have to locate the version of Minecraft that you are playing. Here you have to select the version you want to give more RAM. After selecting the version, you need to click on the three dots and then click on Edit.

On the Edit page, you have to click on More Options. After that, scroll down, then go to JVM arguments and find XMX. There will be a number written just next to it which means the amount of RAM you are giving to your game. You can change this number according to your choice. After changing the amount of RAM, you have to click on Save.

After this, click on the Play button and once the game starts, you have to press the F3 button to open the in-game console. You will see that your game is running very smoothly and it will give you quite a good performance.
