First, you have to boot up your game, then press the options button and select settings from the top. After that, click on the controller.
In Controller settings, you have to go to the advanced tab from the top using the R3 button. After that, scroll down until you get to the input dead zone, and expand this tab. Now you have to set the R2 button dead zone to the maximum as it is the ratio of how much the r2 button must be pressed for shooting. That is why you have to set this to the maximum.
