First, you have to click on the following link https://developer.oculus.com/manage/organizations/create/. It will take you to the Oculus developer website. After that, log into your oculus account by clicking on the Login button at the top of the screen. But with this, you have to set up an organization and become an Oculus developer, as it is a formality to turn on the developer mod.
Then you will be logged into the Oculus developers mode. Now open the Oculus app on your phone and turn ON the Oculus Quest 2 to connect to your phone. Then click on the menu at the bottom right side of your screen. Go to Devices, scroll down a little bit, and you will find the developer mode option; you have to ensure it is turned ON. Otherwise, you will not be able to use the side quest options.
Now download the Sidequest from the following link https://sidequestvr.com/. Open the link, and it will take you to the official site of Sidequest. Then get Sidequest on the top of the screen, and you must pick which one you want from the list. Select it according to your operating system, and once the download completes, open that file and install it. Once the installation completes, it will open in front of you. Then at the top left side of your screen, you will find a red dot that says not detected.
Now you have to plug in the cable on your computer and then turn ON the Quest. A screen will appear saying allow USB debugging, click on OK, and then it will ask your permission to access data. You have to allow this. Now you can take your headset off but leave it plugged in. Now the red circle will turn green in the top left corner of the screen, and it says now your Quest is connected.
Go ahead and unplug your oculus quest from the computer and put it on, then go to your apps. Then, on the screen’s top right side of the screen, it is set to ALL. Click on the drop-down button, and then from the list, set this to unknown sources, and you will find the game you downloaded using the Quest.
