Description

Desperados III is a story-driven, hardcore tactical stealth game, developed by Mimimi Games. The game serves as a prequel to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. 

The main storyline is set in the Wild West in the 1870s and features a bounty hunter named John Cooper as the central character. 

When a notorious bandit leader named Frank kills John’s father, he becomes obsessed with catching the killer. Hoping to find Frank, John travels to the town of Flagstone. When he gets there, he finds out that Frank is at the mansion of the local mayor. When he walks in to confront Frank, he finds himself in the middle of an argument between the mayor and his soon to be wife Kate O’Hara. Kate shoots the mayor for selling off her family’s ranch without her consent. After this, John and Kate immediately escape the premises.  

The duo travels to New Orleans where John hopes to find Frank but they end up getting captured. A Voodoo practitioner named Isabelle Moreau rescues them and joins them to find her partner who disappeared in the area. Meanwhile, Frank gets the wind of John looking to find him and as a result locks down the city. John is able to sneak past the roadblocks and finally confronts Frank. 

The game gives you the ability to play as one of the five characters with each having different skills sets and access to unique weapons. John can use a knife as well as a revolver in order to kill enemies. Hector on the other hand likes to carry a giant bear trap and a handy axe at all times. Doctor McCoy likes using knock out gases, lures and poison syringes to overcome his enemies while Kate lures her victims using her looks and then kills discreetly with her hidden gun. The game can be played in two modes including the stealth mode and the showdown mode. Stealth mode allows you to disguise kills as accidents and carry out assassinations without letting anybody know. In showdown mode, the game is played as an action game where you can temporarily stop the game to issue commands to each of the characters in your party. These commands are then executed simultaneously when the showdown mode ends.
