Endless Legend is a turn based 4X fantasy-strategy game developed by Amplitude Studios.
The game is set in the land of Auriga and the players take control of one of the fourteen available factions. The main goal of the game is to assert your dominance all over Auriga through war and diplomacy. The map is made up of a hexagonal grid and the scenes and environments are randomized with each game adding to the replayability of the game.
To conquer other nations, you are going to need army. Your army is composed of individual units and different units have their own special skills and abilities. You can use research to equip your army with specialized equipment. In addition to that, this army is used to complete several quests in the game. These quests allow you to progress through the storyline and you can use your army to even complete quests given by other factions which gives you diplomacy points. These points can then be used to form alliances and gain influence. On the contrary, factions can also wage war on you if you help their enemy factions.
In addition to war and combat, you also have to explore widespread lands to find resources and discover advanced new technologies. These resources include Food, Science, industry, Influence and Dust. You need to find and grow food; you need science for conducting research. Industry is important for constructing buildings and Influence is used in diplomatic and other state matters. All of this is funded by the standard currency in the game called dust. You need workers to gather resources and the more workers you appoint, the more resources you gain.
One very important aspect of the game is research. There are four areas of research including military, economy and population, science and industry and empire and expansion. The game can be won using one of the nine victory conditions. These conditions include completing all quests assigned to the faction or claiming 80% of the map among others.
The game features one of the most beautiful maps with rich terrains and mighty mountains. The stunning visuals along with randomly generated scenes keeps the gameplay fresh and entertaining. And with multiple ways to win the game, you always have a reason to play.
