NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is the remastered version of the 2010 action role playing game “NieR Replicant”. The game is developed by Toylogic Inc.
NieR Replicant itself served as the prequel to NieR:Automata and this remaster is expected to glorify the Nier beginnings in a visually spectacular fashion. The game stars a young man named NieR who sets out to search for the “Sealed Verses” in the hope of healing his terminally ill sister Yonah who fell victim to the Black Scrawl. NieR brings along a weird talking book named Grimoire Weiss to aid him in his journey. Unlike previous version, the game attempts to tell the story of the prequel through the eyes of NieR as a brother.
Other characters include Kainé, who is a short tempered and foul mouthed swordswoman and Emil, who is a blindfolded boy with the ability to purify everyone he sees. The game starts about 1300 years ago when a fatal illness almost drove all of humanity to the brink of extinction. The future lies in NeiR’s hand as he is the one looking to cure the disease once and for all. The game features monsters roaming around the streets and attacking travelers which are called Shadows and the protagonist can use skills, weapons, magic and his swordsmanship to defeat these monsters. The main story of the game is inspired from the Drakengard Franchise and is set in an alternate reality of the future leading from one of the possible endings of the first game in the franchise. Rather than featuring one protagonist, the game incorporates a group of protagonists directly or indirectly connected to the main plot.
