Host Online

If you want to host an online session of The Anacrusis, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the main menu and select Online.
  2. Share your Party Code with your friends so they can join your game. The Party Code is located in the lower-left corner of the screen.
  3. After that, open up the Friends menu by pressing Z on your keyboard. 
  4. Select the name of players and invite them to join. Or you can invite friends via Steam Invite.
  5. After joining, every player should select PLAY to start the game.
  6. Select the game mode you want to play from HOLDOUT (survival mode), OFFICIAL EPISODES (story mode), COMMUNITY MODS (user-created mods), or WEEKLY CHALLENGE (a timed challenge mode). 
  7. Then choose the level you want to play, and tap on Create Game to launch the game.  
  8. Now you and your friends can work together to complete objectives. 

Join Online

If you want to join The Anacrusis, follow the steps below. There are four methods to join an online game, and you can try any one of them.

Method 1:
  1. Go to the main menu and tap on Quick Play.  
  2. The game will automatically search for a match and join you in a lobby with other players. 
  3. After that, you can start playing with other players. 

Method 2:

  1. Go to the main menu and select Online Co-op.
  2. Tap on PLAY to start the game and choose the game mode from HOLDOUT (survival mode), OFFICIAL EPISODES (story mode), COMMUNITY MODS (user-created mods), or WEEKLY CHALLENGE (a timed challenge mode). 
  3. Then choose the level you want to play. 
  4. Search for an available lobby with other players by clicking on Find Game. 
  5. Join the lobby, and start playing with other players. 

Method 3:

  • Open the Party Code entry menu by pressing F on your keyboard.
  • The host needs to send you a Party Code so that you can join the game.
  • Enter the Party Code provided by the host.
  • The game will join the lobby hosted by your friend.

Method 4:

  1. Your friend can invite you via Steam Invite if they have already created a lobby. 
  2. You’ll receive a notification on Steam. You need to accept the invitation to join the lobby.
  3. After that, you can start playing with other players.
