The Ultimate Bunker Business Guide – GTA 5 Online

Bunkers are a great business for money-grinding operations in GTA 5 Online. Bunkers allow players a safe space to set up their business of weapon manufacturing. Players can also devote money & time to research to unlock upgrades for cars, weapons and other items. This short guide will be a synopsis of the Bunker Business, listing the important points players should know before starting a Bunker Business. Without further ado, let’s jump in.

Purchasing a Bunker

To set up a Bunker Business, players first have to purchase the Bunker. There are around 11 locations scattered around the map from which the player can choose. Players can view these locations by heading to the Maze Bank Foreclosures website on their phones or laptops. After heading to the website, select the Bunkers option on the top right of the screen

This option will display all 11 locations on the map, and their prices range from $1.16 million to $2.37 million. It is strongly recommended to get one of these two locations; Chumash Bunker and Farmhouse Bunker.

The Chumash Bunker is the closest Bunker location to Los Santos and is priced at $1,650,000. It is located beside the sea and is beyond the northwest side of Barbeno Road. The Farmhouse Bunker is far from Los Santos but in the Grand Senora Desert, just south of the Bolingbroke Penitentiary. It is the most expensive Bunker on the list, $2,375,000, but it is worth every penny.

After buying either of these bunkers, you’ll be asked for further renovations. Renovations include Bunker StylePersonal QuartersShooting RangeGun Locker and Transportation. There are three Bunker Styles available, with the base variant being free, as the other two styles cost between $150,000 to $203,000. Personal Quarters & Gun Locker are included for free.

The Shooting Range and Transportation are optional, but the Shooting Range awards players multiple throwables and clothing for completing Shooting Challenges. Transportation includes the usage of Golf Carts to traverse your subterranean Bunker.

Congratulations on being the new owner of an underground bunker. Players can enter the Bunker by visiting the location and heading to the yellow marker, which will trigger a cutscene of an entrance being opened up and the player walking into it.

Setting up the Business

Upon entering the Bunker, players will need to access the entry lobby. Players will take a U-turn from the Entry lobby to the Research and Manufacturing area. Players will find two vending machines here. Within this area, there is an office section with a Laptop that provides access to Disruption Logistics. Players must register as VIPs, CEOs, or MC presidents to access Disruption Logistics.

To do this, players must open their Interaction Menu and scroll down to the SecuroServ option. Select it and then press the Start an Organization option. It will allow you to access the laptop and Disruption Logistics.

Opening the Disruption Logistics page will initially lead you to your Business landing page. On the left of the screen, there will be six options for setting up and running your business. The Buy Upgrades option will display three necessary upgrades. One of the important things for most businesses in GTA 5 is upgrading their EquipmentStaff and Security. The Bunker business is no exception to this rule, and it’s the cornerstone of setting up any successful business in GTA 5.

Equipment Upgrade consists of installing higher quality equipment. This upgrade will significantly speed up your Manufacturing and Research durations, improve the value of your stock and allow your supplies to stretch further. It’s crucial to get this upgrade. It costs $1,155,000.

Staff Upgrade consists of hiring more staff. Similarly, it speeds up research and manufacturing times and improves the overall value of your stock. It’s vital to get this upgrade. It’s priced at $598,000.

Security Upgrade, although not as vital as the previous two, installs security personnel and surveillance equipment. Players must protect their stock and prevent it from being stolen from enemy gangs and players. This upgrade should be gotten as soon as possible as it doubles the time it takes to raid your inventory. The Security Upgrade is priced at $351,000.

Supplies

As first-time business owners, players will be provided with a tutorial mission which gives players free supplies, but after that, players will have two options. Either Buy the Supplies for around $75,000 or Steal Supplies. Supplies are essential to the functioning of your business, such as manufacturing Weapons or Research modifications.

Supplies can also be used as research; research allows the player to modify new weaponized vehicles added with the Gunrunning update, such as new weaponry, exclusive liveries and bodywork modifications.

Stealing supplies, although fun and has no expense, takes a long time, and players have to steal from various locations. It also takes longer to manufacture weapons or do research modifications if players opt for stealing Supplies.

This guide recommends buying supplies as this is a less tiresome way of getting supplies, and the output time is considerably less than stealing supplies. It takes 2.5 hours to get your final product if you’ve bought your supplies and are playing Solo.

Research

Next, the Research aspect of the business is important as the assigned staff will use supplies to research weapons and vehicle modifications. Players can use the Fast-Track option to complete active research projects early by using additional funds.

Players can buy all 51 projects using the Fast-Track option, which will cost around 12 million dollars. These projects include vehicle and gun modifications, liveries, and skins for your firearms and vehicles.

Alternatively, players can use the Manage Staff option and Assign staff to focus on Research instead of Manufacturing, and it will unlock a single research project in about three hours. One way of tackling this dilemma is Assigning Staff to Manufacturing in the Manage Staff option during regular gameplay, going AFK at night, and switching to Assign Staff to Research while the player is asleep.

This method allows the player to get the best of both worlds. Lastly, don’t select the “Assign Staff to Both” option, as it wastes time and resources, and no significant progress is reached on both aspects.

Final Tips

In the Sell Stock option on the Disruption Logistics webpage, players can sell stocks to either local buyers in Blaine County or in Los Santos. Selling to Los Santos always will fetch you more money as it’s contingent upon the delivery of the stock. Players should always sell to the top buyer, no matter the circumstances, as it will net players more money.

Bunkers share similar characteristics. They produce stock at the same rate, and upgrades affect each variation of the BunkerBunker similarly. However, since selling in Los Santos always garner the highest return, Bunkers close to the city will have less travel time when selling stock. It’s also worth considering that Bunkers have a daily utility cost (every 48 minutes) of $4,500.

On the other hand, every 48 minutes, players will get a mission to deliver ammunition to Ammu-Nation for $50,000. This payment helps recover some of the cost of supplies daily and is essential to keep your business running smoothly and generating a profit.

Players looking to gain long-term financial gains should follow the tips above and dedicate considerable time to their Bunker businesses. The Optimal return on investment of a Chumash Bunker with full upgrades is 58.83 hours. It means players must grind at least 59 hours in gameplay time to get a healthy return on their investment. Players can also buy more Bunkers to increase their profits, and with enough time and resources, all of them will be crucial to the money-grinding aspect of GTA 5 Online.

That’s all from this guide. Remember to balance your Research and Manufacturing aspects and acquire the full upgrades (Equipment, Staff & Security) for maximum profitability.
