AMD Engineer Confirms RDNA3 Multi Node GPU Designs

AMD engineer confirms RDNA3 multi node GPU designs.

They made the best news sources.

This leak comes from an AMD infinity Data Fabric Silicon Design engineer.

He probably got a good dressing down from their boss after the screenshots circulated on the internet.

@blueisviolet spotted a LinkedIn entry from a ‘Principal member of Technical Staff’.

The several next generation AMD RDNA3 GPUs will feature MCM technology.

The engineer who is working on Infinity Fabric and GPUs indicates that RDNA3 graphics will feature an MCM.

They already have a high performance MCM compute GPU on the market.

Navi 31 will almost certainly be the first flagship RDNA3 GPU to be launched.

He states that this GPU uses a mix of 5nm and 6nm nodes.

The GPU will make its way into the RX 7900 XT and 7800 XT.

Navi 32 would likely be used in a 7700 or 7600 class GPU, while Navi 33 would likely be a more budget oriented card.

They also confirmed that they will release next generation GPUs in 2022.

MCM design could lead to a rather dramatic increase in shader count.

RDNA3 GPUs will go up against Nvidia's RTX 40 Ada Lovelace range and Intel’s Arc Alchemist cards.

Intel’s Battlemage is scheduled for mid 2023.
