AMD's $199 RX 6500 XT Doesn't Look So Appealing At These Inflated Prices

AMD’s $199 RX 6500 XT doesn’t look so appealing at these prices.

Asus is charging up to $377 for its RX 6500 XT, which is a shame for budget gaming.

Asus announced two of its own RX 6500 XT models shortly after AMD’s CES 2022 product premiere.

The Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT OC Edition and TUF Gaming OC Edition are the cheapest AMD RX 6000-series graphics card but they are not cheap.

The cheaper of the two is the Dual Radeon Rx 6500 XT OC Edition, which will go for $338.

That’s far from the price set by AMD.

A shortage of graphics cards, largely caused by a semiconductor shortage has caused skyrocketing prices.

These GPUs are also in high demand due to the lack of budget offerings.

It hopes to avoid cryptocurrency mining by maintaining VRAM capacity of just 4GB GDDR6.

In terms of availability how that will play is yet to be seen.

From the looks of this specs list RX 6500 XT won’t appeal to us much either just like the RX 6600 XT.
