4GB of GDDR6 memory falls short because of their own marketing statements.
In May 2020, they published a blog explaining why 4GB of VRAM was not good enough for today’s game.
But they also offered the RX 5500 XT in 4GB trim but they also offered it in 8GB variant.
But now RX 6500 XT which has only 4GB of VRAM with no option for 8GB is causing them a headache because of the blog they posted.
The 4GB of memory capacity is due to this card’s approach is gamer first, To avoid miners because of its less VRAM.
RX 6500 XT offers no improvement over older cards like RX 580 and RX 5500 4GB.
RX 5500 4GB was available for $170 at launch, which is $30 dollars cheaper than the RX 6500 XT launching today.
