E3 2022 Is Cancelled, But A Comeback Is Planned For 2023

E3 2022 is cancelled.

There will not be an official E3 event this year.

In over two-and-a-half decades, this makes 2022 just the second year that an E3 has not taken place.

The other time it happened was in 2020, due to Covid-19 pandemic.

It was started in 1995.

Last year E3 was held online.

This time it won’t even happen online.

E3 has become a conglomeration of many events and gatherings and the question will be how much we are going to notice their absence this year.

Last year Sony skipped E3.

Geoff Keighley formally announced the return of the Summer Game Fest.

A large number of events are expected in June.
