Hacker Group Threatens to Release Bypass of Nvidia's Hash Rate Limiter

Hackers threaten to release bypass of Nvidia's hash rate limiter.

They are the victims of a ransomware attack.

They claim that they had access to Nvidia servers for a week.

They threatened them to remove the mining performance limiter on their RTX 30-series GPUs or they will release or sell their data.

Nvidia introduced that last year to restrict the hash rate of RTX 30-series cards.

It was meant to prevent crypto miners from hoarding them for mining.

The hacker group named Lapsus$ has taken credit for the recent attack.

A hw folder contains drivers, schematics and other internal data, which they claim is very valuable to Nvidia.

It also includes everything about falcon.

Recent attempts have unlocked a percentage of its overall mining performance.

We are not state-sponsored and we are not in politics AT ALL, they said.
