Intel Set To Overtake TSMC's Process Lead With 3nm Node And Beyond

Intel set to overtake TSMC's process lead.

Intel won’t stop even if fabs are falling behind.

For many businesses, semiconductor shortage combined with the pandemic has been an absolute trail.

TSMC has been under pressure to try and deal with demands and disasters.

TSMC has had the lead in terms of logic technology.

And in the coming years, Intel will likely overtake that.

Samsung and TSMC in the mid of late 2010’s used four nodes.

For many years this has positioned the company to have a fair lead in logic technology.

Foundries have been slowed by production issues while Intel charged ahead on its CPU roadmap.

They have an ultimate goal to take the top stop away from TSMC in logic.

They plan to deliver five nodes in four years.
