Optane 900p was PC Game’s SSD of the year for 2017, so it is very sad news for gamers.
They had excellent endurance ratings.
They were far ahead in specs to those of NAND SSDs from the same period, but Intel failed to execute properly.
They tried to position Optane drives as cache solutions for hard drives.
People shifted from mechanical drives to SSD, cache drivers didn’t appeal.
H310 didn’t offer Optane support for a cheaper motherboard.
The 800p was too expensive and too small.
