'Locked' AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Overclocked To 5.14GHz
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D overclocked to 5.14GHz.
It is done using MSI’s Godlike X570 motherboard.
People have been spending so much time overclocking it.
TSAIK has managed to push the chip up to 5.14GHz.
And he used a $699 motherboard to do it.
AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D was released last week.
The underlying 3D V-Cache technology is exciting and promises good things.
5800X3D officially doesn’t support any overclock which is its downside.
Due to that 3D V-Cache technology it’s lacking that.
With extra frequencies or voltages, extra cache doesn’t play nicely.
SkatterBencher managed to hit 4.74GHz with the chip, by upping the base clock to 104MHz.
