What is the Bennett Brothers Mystery in Red Dead Redemption 2?

This story will explain the story of the three brothers who lived in Annesburg.

The first clue is the newspaper scrap you can loot off of multiple NPCs.

It will let you know that the three brothers killed each other over a treasure, and it also lets us know their names, Gideon Bannett, IRA Bennett, and Earl Bennett.

For more information, You have to talk to the camper located there.

The three brothers lived in Annesburg. As the camper mentions, one of them ran off with the treasure, either Ira or Earl. To make the story less confusing, let's call this brother Ira.

Ira left a clue to the treasure in the mine.

North bennett Flew.

IRA hints that he ran away north to North Benett Flew's reed cottage.

IRA Hints the treasure map is hidden in the chimney.

Red Roof, Green door, brothers, I'll be poor no more.

It is a clue to what the reed cottage looks like outside.

You can also find the Bennett brothers' photo there.

The treasure map will guide you to this location.

Just like the camper said, you can find the tree carving here. At one point, Gideon found out that the treasure was missing. Gideon killed Earl; he thought he was the one who stole the gold.

Earl was buried near Annesburg.

An Annesburg citizen most likely buried him; since the Bannett's name is spelled incorrectly here, Gideon then went after Ira, just like the camper he killed near the tree carving. Nobody finds Gideon's body so that he may be still alive.

You can find his bounty poster here.

He's probably wanted to murder his two brothers. He was last seen on the outskirts of rutcher creek.

Where the treasure is hidden.

The reason why Gideon didn't find the treasure is that he didn't have the map.

He didn't know that you have to go 20 steps north and five steps easy to find it.
