When you’re looking for planets with oceans or just bodies of water in general, there’s one main thing that you need to know.
The main thing is that you can find three potential planet types with water/oceans on them. Those are planets with small islands scattered throughout. A planet with continents, like an earthlike planet, and planets that are mainly ocean with very few spots of land to land on. These are the rarest types of planets to find, so it’s likely you won’t find one of those unless you get really lucky.
