Best Starter Build Guide- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set in Ancient Greece and allows players to roleplay as Alexios or Kassandra during the Peloponnese War. Players looking for an early OP build have come to the right place. This level 12 build One-Shots every enemy and deals over 600% damage, 425% Headshot damage, and over 18,000 Melee damage. Without further ado, let’s dive in.

Damage Breakdown & Equipment

This overpowered build is too powerful for Level 12, and players can get massive amounts of melee damage immediately. It gives 2000-3000 damage for light attacks, 4000-5000 damage for heavy attacks, and 6000-18000 damage for charged attacks. For ranged attacks from your legendary bow, headshots give 23,000 damage, and Bodyshots yield up to 12,000 damage. Lastly, the Assassin damage with this outstanding build is just over 37,000.

Use the Second Sight Bow to deal enormous damages

For such extraordinary damages, the equipment required must also be exceptional. The legendary sword, Blade of Yumminess, and the Legendary Bow, Second Sight, are equipped to make the unbelievable seem possible. A couple of engravings are also used, which boosts damages from these two weapons. The Blade of Yumminess has a base DPS of 250 but, more importantly, increases your attack damage by 250%. The legendary bow, Second Sight, packs a base DPS of 218 but gives over 200% headshot damage.

Two Korfu engravings are used too. The first engraving increases all damage types by 100% for the loss of 100% in Resistances. The second engraving increases headshot damage by 100% at the cost of 50% increased usage of adrenaline. Both of these engravings are found on Korfu Island.

Getting the Equipment

The Blade of Yumminess can be purchased from any Blacksmith on the map, but a Level 12 is necessary to yield it. It costs nearly 10,000 drachmae. Before going to any Blacksmith, save the game and then talk to the blacksmith. If the blade doesn’t appear in the options, reload the game and try again till you get lucky. The main problem is acquiring sufficient money to buy the Blade of Yumminess. Worry not, for this comprehensive guide has got this covered too.

Money Farming Technique

Complete this quest to get Lv 42-43 weapons so you can sell them to Blacksmiths

Go to the Story Creator Website and add the “Patrai Wall Run” storyline to your story log. Then head on to Achaia and complete the Patrai Wall Run. This quest helps you loot Level 42-43 weapons on your run. Each weapon sells 200-300 drachmae, and rare items go for 600. Complete this run two to three times and sell all these weapons to the BBlacksmithfor free drachmae. The drachmae collected can then be used to buy the Blade of Yumminess.

Korfu Engravings & Second Sight

For the Second Sight and the two essential Korfu engravings, you’ll have to go to Korfu Island. You have to speak to Stentor when you arrive in Megaris. This unlocks the purple quest marker in Kephallonia. Fast travel to the Kephallonia using the Ship dock. Talk to the woman and ignore the warnings about spoilers. You don’t have to complete the quest; collect your clothes from the cave and talk to Barnabas. This will unlock the rest of Korfu Island; otherwise, most of the Island will stay blocked.

Location of the Bandit Camp for the “The Captain & the Cyclops” ostraka

Next, head to the Shores of Drepani on Korfu island and go to the Bandit camp on Lake Katarrakton. Collect the “The Captain and the Cyclops” ostraka, ancient riddles on stone tablets, and solving them grants engravings that enhance combat abilities. The solution to the above ostraka is located in the Alieos Village by finding the pot full of water and pressing A. The first engraving will be unlocked, granting the user a 100% Headshot damage increase.

Location for the solution for the second ostraka, “The Champion”

For the second engraving, head to the Koiladi Farm near the Peak of the Phaiakes, located at the northernmost tip of Korfu Island. Collect “The Champion” ostraka, head over to solution in the northeast at the location, and press A at the flowers near the dock. This will unlock the 2nd engraving, giving you a 100% increase in all damage types.

Location of the Second Sight Bow

For the Second Sight, you must go to the Pirate Warehouse near the big city of Korfu Island. It’s located in the Heart of Korkyra. There’s a legendary secret chest on the top floor of the warehouse. Opening the chest will give you the legendary bow, Second Sight.

Use the Atlas menu and Fast travel back to Greece. You can return to Korfu island anytime you want.

Additionally, you can use the Torch to heal yourself. This handy hack only works if your health is at 25%. Equip the torch, and then switching back to your weapon restores a portion of your health. This benefits this build as the Blade of Yumminess has a downside: you can’t use many of your abilities. Another alternative to this issue is equipping the Battlecry of Ares, a Warrior Ability, which inflicts 20% increased damage to enemies, and enemy attacks are non-lethal for 10 seconds.

Battlecry of Ares works perfectly with this build

Another tip before we get to the build is to source equipment. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey lets players dismantle items and weapons to get the required equipment. This guide suggests that you sell all the collected items to Blacksmiths and buy all needed equipment from Blacksmiths. As this is a more efficient and easy way to get the necessary equipment, this method also saves time and effort for the players.

The Build

Weapons

Legendary Sword allows you to extract massive amounts of damage

The legendary sword, The Blade of Yumminess, is equipped in the primary weapon slot. It grants an increased 9% Assassin damage, 6% additional damage with swords, and 250% damage of all types, but it can’t use abilities and, lastly, a 100% increase in damage with health capped to 25%. The sword has a base DPS of 250. This blade can be bought from any blacksmith for almost 10,000 drachmae.

Use the Second Sight bow to One-shot kill all enemies

The second weapon in this build is the legendary bow, the Second Sight. It delivers a DPS of 218. The Bow increases Hunter damage by 9%, Assassin damage by 4%, and, importantly, increases headshot damage by 200% in exchange for negating 100% of Assassin and Warrior damage. It also increases all damage types by 15%. This bow can be acquired from the legendary secret chest of the Pirate Warehouse on Korfu Island. This effective weapon adds a damage multiplier after a successful headshot for all ranged attacks, allowing you to One-Shot enemies to death.

Armour

Two sets of Armour sets are going to be used in this build. Both are free Ubisoft Club rewards, meaning you have to claim these rewards by signing in to your account. The first set of Armour is Ezio’s Roman set, and the second is the Northern Traveller set. This build utilizes a combination of the two armor sets, and players can use this combination throughout the game.

For the head, Ezio’s Roman Hood is equipped. The legendary hood has 67 Armor points. It also increases Assassin damage by 9%, Sword damage by 6%, and Headshot damage by 5%. The Damage with Swords increase is our strongest Multiplier for Melee weapons, so having this on your headgear is crucial.

For the arms, Ezio’s Roman Vambraces are fitted. The legendary Arms increase Assassin damage by 9% and add a 2% critical chance. A 2% Warrior damage engraving should be equipped in the last slot.

Equip the Korfu engraving in the armor to get the most out of this build

For the Waist, the Northern Traveler’s Waist is equipped. This legendary Waist increases Warrior damage by 9%, all damage by 5%, and critical chance by 2%. The Korfu engraving of 100% increase of all Damage types should be equipped in the last slot. The Korfu engraving can be acquired by solving “The Champion” ostraka riddle at the Kolaidi Farm.

For the torso, Ezio’s Roman Robe is fitted in the build. It enhances Assassin Damage by 9%, Critical damage by 10%, and Warrior damage by 2%.

For the legs, Northern Travel’s Boots are equipped. The legendary legs boost Warrior damage by 9%, All Damage by 5%, and Elemental Resistance by 4%. For the fourth remaining slot, the Korfu Engraving of 100% Headshot Damage should be equipped here. This engraving can be acquired by solving the “The Captain and the Cyclops” ostraka on Korfu Island.

Equipping all the above items gives us an incredible 500% plus Warrior and Assassin damage and 600% plus Hunter Damage. Combining that with 425% Headshot damage makes this a very overpowered build for Level 12.

Abilities

There are three sections of basic abilities; Hunter, Warrior, and Assassin. Using the Blade of Yumminess cancels most of your abilities, but this section looks at those that still work with the Blade of Yumminess.

Abilities allow you to enhance damages and shore up weaknesses

In the Hunter Abilities, The Sixth Sense ability slows down time for up to 5 seconds whenever an enemy spots you. Aimed arrows are locked to the enemy’s torso and deal 150% Hunter damage. The Archery Master ability enhances your Hunter damage by 30% and Headshot Damage by 20%. It also restores your adrenaline outside of combat.

In the Warrior section, the Weapons Master ability increases the Warrior Damage by 30% and boosts the Critical chance with all weapons by 5%. The Charged Heavy Attack ability allows you to unleash a powerful blow that knocks down and damages enemies excessively. This is the strongest ability that works with the Blade of Yumminess.

In the Assassin section, the Shadow Assassin ability enhances Assassination and Knockout damages by 30%, plus automatically looting the enemy after an Assassination. It also increases Critical damage by 25%.

That’s all from this guide. Remember to get the essential Korfu Engravings to make this level 12 build powerful and lethal.
