This guide will provide everything you need to know about Dino Leash in ARK: Extinction.
The dino leash becomes available at level 22, requiring few electronics, metal ingots, and polymer to craft. Polymer is hard to find, so the easiest way to find it is by killing corrupted creatures outside the city. The corrupted creatures drop corrupted nodules, a polymer analog, as shown in the image below.
Once you have these items, you must bring them to a smithy and easily craft Dino Leashes. You can use the Dino Leashes to keep dinosaurs from wandering off, and at some point, you want dinosaurs to wander within a certain area.
So if you want to leave the dinosaur behind for gathering, you have to take a Dino Leash and place it on the ground, which will create a radius around it, and you will see that the dinosaur will not go through that radius, as shown in the image below.
Creatures inside the radius of the Dino Leash will not be able to escape it, and some creatures will reduce their movement speed within the radius. You can customize the range on the dino leash from short to medium or long, and you can do this in the context menu.
The creatures can be leashed within it by the lock icon on the above side of their nameplate. Dino leash is solar power, and some creatures will be immune to the effect of the dino leash like Falana Sore because there is no nameplate on it, and you cannot lock it within the radius, as shown in the image below.Â
