This guide will let you know how to fix FIFA 22 DirectX Error Crash on PC. Go through the guide, and follow the steps to resolve this error and then you will be able to launch the game.
Step-1
First, you will need to enable the dedicated graphics in your device manager. Right-click on the Start menu, select the device manager option to open it up, then navigate your graphic card.
When you find it, you have to right-click on it and select the Enable device option.
After enabling it, you can go to the game and launch it.
Step-2
If the error is still showing up, you have to run FIFA 22 on the dedicated graphics card. For this, you have to go to the Windows Start bar and search for graphics settings, as shown in the image below.
After opening the graphics settings, you have to click on the Browse option and navigate to your games folder. You will need to select the FIFA 22.exe file and press the Add button, as shown in the image below.
The next thing you have to do is select FIFA 22 and click on Option, and then you need to select the “High performance” option and save it.
You will need to click on the browse option again and then navigate to your games folder. Select the FIFA 22.trial file and then click on the Add button.
After that, you have to select FIFA 22 trial, click on Option, and select the “High performance” option and save it.
After doing this procedure, now you need to launch the game, and it will start perfectly.
Step-3
In this step, you have to uninstall the graphics driver first and then reinstall the clean graphics driver. To uninstall the driver, you will need to go to the Windows settings, go to the apps category, navigate to the Apps & features option.
You have to search your graphics card in the search bar, as shown in the image below.
When you navigate your graphics card drivers, click on it, and then select the uninstall option.
After the uninstallation is complete, you have to restart your PC.
When your computer starts, go to the Nvidia website, and if you have amd, you have to go to the amd website to install the driver.
You will need to select the graphic card you are using on your pc and then select the operating system. After that, search the driver, and click on download.
Once the downloading is completed, you have to run the .exe file which you downloaded; you will spot a new tab to click on Agree and Continue. Then you have to check the Custom, and click on next, as shown in the image below.
After that, select “perform a clean installation” and click on the next Option; it will start the installation. When it is fully installed, then you will need to restart your PC and launch the game.
Step-4
If you get the same error after this, you have to disable the overlay and close all other overlay applications. Go to the origin, and then you have to go to your library and click on the game.
And now you have to click on the setting option of the game, as shown in the image below.
The next thing you have to do is select the game properties option and untick the box which says “Enable Origin In-Game for FIFA 22”. Then click on the Save button, as shown in the image below.
If you are using Steam, you have to go to Steam and right-click on FIFA 22. Click on properties and go to the general tab, navigate the check box, and uncheck it. Save it the same as the origin, and then make sure you have no other overlay application running on your system before launching the game.
Step-5
If you still have an issue running the game, then you have to disable full-screen optimization.
To do so, go to the FIFA 22 game folder, and right-click on the FIFA 22.exe file, and then you have to click on the properties option, as shown in the image below.
You have to go to the compatibility tab option and check the “Disable fullscreen optimization” option. Then click on apply and then press OK to complete the process.
Launch the game now.
Step-6
If it is still not working and your game is not launching, you have to change the DirectX_select Value from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0. Open the file explorer, and go to the Documents folder, where you have to navigate to the FIFA 22 folder. When you find it, you have to open it and right-click on the fifasetup.ini file.
Now you have to select the “Open with” Option and then click on the notepad option. When the notepad is opened, go to the second line “directx_select”, and change the value from 0 to 1, and if the value is already 1, you have to change it to 0.
After doing it, you have to go to the File option on the top left side of the notepad and then select the save option to save the edit in the file.
Close all the windows and now launch the game; it will run perfectly.
