Role-playing as a Wizard/Witch in Hogwarts Legacy is quite hectic, from fighting bandits to completing main and sub-quests to breeding magical beasts. Players can complete the main storyline by Level 25. Once you get to level 30, earning XP anywhere will be hard. Worry not, young wizards and witches; this mini guide outlines a method to farm XP after completing most of the game.
Gaining Additional XP
Firstly, go to your pause menu, enter Gameplay options, and set the difficulty to Story mode. It will help you later on. Secondly, you should go to the North Ford Bog. On your map, you can see it’s up north of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Zooming in, you’ll find the area is filled with Animal Dens. The plan is simple, catching magical beasts with your ‘Nab-sack’ will generate XP. Every beast you capture gives you 30 XP.
There are four Animal Dens in The North Ford Bog. There’s a Thestral Den, a Jobberknoll Den, and a couple of Giant Purple Toad Dens. They’re 10-15 seconds away from each other on a broomstick. Additionally, in Story mode, you don’t have to capture the beast by pressing square when it blinks and pressing it 3-4 times, risking evasion of the beast. In Story Mode, you need to press the Capture button, and the beast, without any resistance, will automatically be captured in your “Nab-sack.” Players will gain 30 XP for every beast captured. These add up quickly, and considering catching them is a push of a button, it’s easier to farm XP this way.
These Animal Dens are spawned almost instantaneously after visiting an alternative Den. It allows players to capture beasts frequently until the space in your “Nab-sack” is full. Additionally, these dens can be visited during both day and night. It is vital as players can go there anytime to farm XP. Players can sell these beasts to Ellie. At Brood & Peck, Ellie offers 120 gaellons for every animal, regardless of species. This can be used to earn money to purchase upgrades and other items passively. A battle arena is nearby the North Ford Bog, where winning those challenges earns you 100-150 XP.
