In GTA Online you can now find 76 Peyote Plants and consume them to turn into a random animal. Following are all the animals you can play as:
Land Animals & Birds:
Soar, Border Collie, Cat, Chicken-Hawk, Cormorant, Coyote, Cow, Crow, Elk, Hen, Husky, Mountain Lion, Pig, Pigeon, Poodle, Pug, Rabbit, Retriever, Rottweiler.
Seagull and West Highland Terrier:
Dolphin.
Sea Creatures:
Fish, Hammerhead Shark, Killer Stingray, and Tiger Shark.
Special Creatures Chop and Sasquatch:
Note that these are not considered collectibles with a final reward. If you die, go into the water or simply end the hallucination, you will spawn at the nearest hospital and get 5000 RP.Â
Once eaten, the plants will respawn after some time (around 24 in-game hours) and can be consumed again to play as a random animal. The controller will vibrate when a peyote is nearby.
Apparently, you can also eat peyote plants while in Passive Mode. This way you cannot attack or be attacked by other players.
