Horseman Challenge Guide : Red Dead Redemption 2

In Red Dead Redemption 2, there are 90 challenges spread across nine main categories required for 100% completion of the game.

    These challenges can only be completed one at a time, in a consecutive sequence. After you’ve completed all 90 challenges, you’ll unlock the Legend of the East outfit.

    Horseman 1: Kill Five Rabbits from Horseback

    You can find many rabbits east of the first camp in The Heartlands; remember to kill them from horseback.

    Horseman 2: Jump Over Three Obstacles in 15 Seconds

    You can use any fence or obstacle that forces your horse to jump for this challenge.

    Horseman 3: Ride From Valentine to Rhodes in Less Than Five Minutes 

    To complete this challenge, you can use the horse you get during the game’s first mission.

    To make it easier, you can break and use the White Arabian.

    You have to mark your destination on the map to keep the waypoint always in front of you, then start riding from the Valentine Train Station.

    Before starting, make sure to have at least a couple of Potent Horse Bitters or Stimulants.

    Horseman 4: While Mounted, Drag a Victim for 3,300 Feet Using Your Lasso

    To avoid losing honor, you will need to attack an enemy camp or gang hideout and kill everyone except the last enemy. Use the lasso and start dragging him.

    Don’t worry about your victim’s health, alive or dead; the challenge is still valid as long as you’re dragging him with the lasso.

    Horseman 5: Trample Five Animals While on Horseback 

    You can easily complete this challenge by trampling paddlings of ducks along the Dakota River.

    Horseman 6: Ride From Strawberry to Saint-Denis in Less Than Nine Minutes Without Touching Any Water

    Before starting, make sure to have at least a couple of Potent Horse Bitters or Stimulants.

    You will need to mark your destination on the map to keep the waypoint always in front of you, then start riding from the Strawberry Post Office.

    Be careful not to fall from your horse or dismount; otherwise, you’ll have to start all over again.

    To avoid touching any water, start riding on the train tracks after Riggs Station and stay on the tracks until you reach Rhodes.

    To shorten your time, you can cut through Gray’s land; make sure not to trample anyone; otherwise, the guards will shoot you.

    Horseman 7: Kill Seven Enemies From Horseback Without Dismounting 

    The easiest way to find seven enemies in the same area is by clearing a gang hideout.

    You have to reach the area, start killing enemies, keep moving and use the Dead Eye to avoid your horse taking too much damage.

    Horseman 8: Kill Nine Predators From Horseback 

    You will need to Go to the Bayou Nwa and kill alligators from horseback.

    Horseman 9: Ride From Van Horn To Blackwater In Less Than 17 Minutes Without Touching Any Water

    To complete this challenge, you can use the horse you get during the game’s first mission.

    To make it easier, you can break and use the White Arabian.

    Before starting, make sure to have at least a couple of Potent Horse Bitters or Stimulants.

    Blackwater and the south part of West Elizabeth are not available until the end of the first mission of Epilogue 1.

    You can use a glitch to visit this area early in the game and complete the challenge before that mission.

    You have to be careful not to fall from your horse or dismount; otherwise, you’ll have to start all over again.

    To avoid touching any water, start riding north to reach the bridge in Butcher Creek and go to the other side of the Kamassa River.

    To go through the Dakota River without touching the water, you can use Bard’s Crossing, the train bridge from Flatneck Station.

    To go through the Montana River without touching the water, you need to use the Owanjila Dam. 

    Horseman 10: Break Every Wild Horse Breed 

    The Heartlands: Wild Kentucky Saddler, Wild Tennessee Walker, Wild Mustang, Wild Morgan.

    Cattail Pond: Wild Appaloosa.

    Valentine: Wild Hungarian Halfbred.

    Little Creek River: Wild American Standardbred, Wild American Paint.

    Lone Mule Stead: Wild Nokota.
