This guide will let you know how to do Laundry in The Sims 4. You have to follow the simple steps in this guide to do Laundry.
For Laundry, you first have to gather dirty clothes if you have items like a hamper, washer, or dryer. You will need to place all of your dirty clothes in your hamper most of the time when your sim gets changed.
Sometimes the clothes you change will go automatically to the hamper, and sometimes you have to do it manually. When some dirty clothes are in your hamper, you have to click on them to start the laundry process. From these options, you can also check the pockets of your clothes which will give you some extra cash.
For washing the clothes, you have two options: a washing machine or a washing tub. If you wash your dirty clothes in the washing tub, it will give you a lovable to life vibe, and for the hamper, you need to click on it and select the laundry option, and then you will be able to add your clothes to your washing machine, as shown in the image below.
The washtub will make you uncomfortable because of the extra effort you have to make while washing clothes. And also need to make sure to change the water after each use, but your sim will gain fitness skills while using the washtub, as shown in the image below.
Once the clothes are clean, you need to dry them. As shown in the image below, you have to click on the washing tub and select unload and move Laundry to the dryer or a clothesline option to start the drying process.
The dryer is the easiest method to dry the clothes; if you use a clothesline, it will take a lot of time to dry up your clothes. When the clothes are fully dried, you have to choose to unload and put the washing away. You will also have to change the lint after each dryer use; otherwise, the dryer will fire up, and all your clothes will get wasted.
There are a few upgrades you can install on the laundry equipment which can help avoid it breaking, and it will also wash and dry clothes faster without making a noise. For the dryer, you must have the lint-less upgrade, which will prevent lint from accumulating. For the washing machine, you need to have a pre-soak upgrade in which your clothes will come out cleaner, and there will be five-stage of cleanliness with clothes, as shown in the image below.
The clean clothes will give you a happy moodlet, and dirty clothing will give you uncomfortable moodlets. You will also need to have a laundry additive tray upgrade on the washer so there will be no fragrance on your clothing, but with this, you can add flowers to the Laundry to make clothes smell fragrant or food which will make the clothes smell foul.
