How to Install Better out of LOS Sneaking Mod in Starfield

The Starfield mod “Better out of LOS Sneaking” enhances stealth gameplay. It makes it more realistic and makes it so that attackers can’t hear you when you’re hidden behind obstructions by reducing the precision of their hearing. It enables you to play covertly without worrying about being discovered.

To install the Better out of LOS Sneaking mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:

  • First, download the Better out of LOS Sneaking mod from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
  • After downloading the mod, locate the main file, which is “SneakSoundLosMult.txt” and move it into the Starfield game directory.

Starfield location:

Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield 

Starfield location (Steam):

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\

Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.

  • Now, download the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file, which can be found in the ‘Misc’ folder.
  • Move the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file to the ‘Starfield’ directory.
  • If you already have the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file, simply add the following lines to it.
[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat SneakSoundLosMult

If you already have the 

"sStartingConsoleCommand=" entry, 

then change it to the following command. 

sStartingConsoleCommand=bat othermods;bat SneakSoundLosMult

Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.

That’s it! Your mod is now installed. You can try it out by launching the game.
