In this guide, you will find out how to install mods on the Resident Evil 2 remake. You have to follow the step-by-step instructions to install the mods.
1. First, you will need to download the Mod Manager for the Resident Evil 2 remake from https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevil22019/mods/119. Then click on the Manual Download Button to get the Mod Manager, it will be in zipped or rar file format.
2. Now find the downloaded file which will probably be in the downloads folder in the file explorer.
3. You need to extract this file using WinRAR or 7zip.
4. After that, right-click on the Modmanager.exe file and run it as administrator. Otherwise, it will not work properly.
5. Now open the Mod manager and it will look like this, as shown in the image below.
6. You can choose the model of the game that you want and It will install the required stuff for it then you can click on the “Choose game” option to select the mod then click the “Launch game” button. The white little box is indicating that which model is currently selected or On.
7. Once you have selected the Mod it will create a file folder within the Game named folder same as your selected mod in my case it made a folder with “RE4” name as my selected mod was Resident Evil 4. A mods folder will also be created inside the RE4 Folder.
8. Download that particular mod from the Nexus Mode Website. Then extract the mod file and paste it into the mods folder of the “RE4” folder then you are done with it. Now come back to the Mods Manager and click on Refresh mod list then Launch the game.
9. Another interesting option is the Trainer. You have to click on it and then choose Trainer functions.
10. You can switch characters with it, but do it only if it is not the main game. Set Swap Characters to Yes.
11. As an example, open the Resident Evil 2 and choose to go into extra mods.
12. If you find Runaway here and you want to change the girl with another character, you need to go to the trainer and there give this character’s name against “replace” and the new character’s name against “With”. In this guide, Katherine is being replaced with ADA.
13. Once you start up the game, your model will be 98 and the character will be ADA.
