“More Space Encounters” increases the likelihood of space occurrences, lessening the sense of empty space. This mod also reduces the emptiness of the cosmos.
To install the More Space Encounters mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:
- First, download the More Space Encounters mod from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
- After downloading the mod file, unpack it and locate the txt file.
- You’ll need to paste the text file into the Starfield game directory.
Starfield location:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield
Starfield location (Steam):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\
Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.
You have two options for running the mod:
Option 1: Manual Execution
- Open the console in the game (usually by pressing the tilde key ~) and type the following command:
bat MrGebaSpaceEcountersOption 2: Set up Custom INI file
If you prefer the mod to start automatically, you’ll need to set up the Custom ini file.
- Navigate to the “Documents/My Games/Starfield” folder.
- Open the “StarfieldCustom.ini” file or create one if it doesn’t already exist.
- In the “StarfieldCustom.ini” file, add the following line under the [General] section:
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat MrGebaSpaceEcounters;If you already have other mods set up in your StarfieldCustom.ini, you can include them like this:

Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.
