This guide will tell you how to install Quacked games on the Steam Deck.
Adding Game to Steam
1- First, switch to desktop mode and copy the game installer.
2- For this, plug into your USB Drive or SD card and go to the folder where you saved the game. Copy that folder, and paste it into the downloads folder of your Steam deck.
3- After that, close Steam and reopen it, then go to the library and click on games from the top of the screen.
4- Select Add a non-steam app from the drop-down menu, and find where you have installed the game.
5- Set the file type to all files, select the setup.exe file, and click on Open. Now you need to click on Add select programs.
6- Reopen Steam, go to the library and then find the game file in the game’s list on the left side.
7- After that, click the settings button, select properties from the drop-down menu, and select Compatibility.
8- Under this, ensure the option is checkmarked and change it to Ge-proton 7-30. After that, click the Play button, and then you can play the game.
For SD CARD
1- First, boot up your Steam deck and click on files at the bottom of the screen. Then click Primary from the left side, tap on the address bar and copy the address.
2- After that, open Steam, click the settings button by opening the setup file, and select properties from the drop-down menu.
3- Then under the Launch option, write STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS= “PASTE THE ADDRESS THAT YOU JUST COPIED” %command%.
Game Installation
1- After that, click on the Play button, click on Install, and tap on Proceed.
2- You must ensure all three options on the configuration page are unchecked and select the location where you want to install the game.
3- If you want to install this in the SD, click on the three dots and select Sd card and if you want to install this in the SSD, select your SSD drives.
4- After that, click on Next, select the language version of the game you want to install, and then click on the Install button.
5- Once the installation completes, you need to add the game to Steam. For this, go to the game location where it is installed, right-click on it and then click on Add to Steam.
6- It will add your game to the Steam library, and you can remove the setup file from the Steam library.
7- Select the game file, download the proton up-qt software and open this. Make sure that Steam is selected, and then click on Add version. Under GE-Proton, you have to select the latest version and click on Install.
8- After the installation finishes, close the Steam and reopen it.
9- Then click on the settings button and tap on properties from the drop-down menu. Select Compatibility, ensure the option is checkmarked, and then change this to proton experimental.
10- After that, select the Shortcut tab from the left side and write “DXVK_ASYNC=1” under the Launch options. If everything disappears on Steam, then this is an error. You will need to close Steam, relaunch it and repeat the process.
Controller Settings
1- Open Steam and click on the Steam button at the top left of your screen. Then right-click on it, go to the properties, and click on the controller on the left side of your screen.
2- After that, click on the General controller settings.
3- Go to the big picture mod by clicking on View at the top of your screen and then click on the big picture mod from the drop-down menu.
4- After that, click on the Settings button at the top of your screen and tap on the controller settings.
5- Here, you will find a lot of different options. Now you have to connect your controller to your system, and you will find your controller under the detected controller.
6- Checkmark the Xbox configuration support; this list will give you options for different controllers. You can select the option according to which controller you are using.
7- You can also checkmark the Xbox extended feature support, as it is for the elite controllers.
