“Starfield FSR2 Bridge” mod enables DLSS or XeSS to be used in place of the in-game FSR2 upscaling without the requirement for ReShade. This patch improves the visual quality of Starfield by offering different upscaling mechanisms.
To install the Starfield FSR2 Bridge mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:
- First, download the FSR2 Bridge mod from the Nexus site corresponding to your desired upscaler, either DLSS or XeSS. (You might need to create an account on the Nexus site if you don’t have one).
- After downloading the mod file, you’ll need to extract the contents of the zip file into the Starfield game directory.
Starfield location:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield
Starfield location (Steam):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\
Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.
After extraction, you should see the following files right next to the “Starfield.exe”:
FSRBridge.asi
winmm.ini
winmm.dll
- Now, download the matching DLL files to your chosen upscaler and put them in the same directory as the other files (next to “Starfield.exe”).
- For DLSS upscaler, you can download the DLL files from Nvidia DLSS DLL.
Note: You should consider downloading either the latest version (v3.5.0) or the last v2 version (v2.5.1).
- For XeSS upscaler, you can download the DLL files from here.
Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.
That’s it! Your mod is now installed. You can try it out by launching the game.
