Books and Quills are items used to turn books into written books, which players read as well as use them to trade with villagers.
To make a Book and Quill, you will need Sugarcane, Cow Leather, Paper, Book, Chicken Feather and Squid for Ink Sac. Please follow the following steps to make a Book and Quill.
Sugar cane
In order to make a book, the basic item that you will have to find and get is sugar cane. Sugarcane can be found on grass blocks near the banks of rivers. You need to get at least three pieces of sugarcane.
Cow Leather
After that you have to find cows and get leathers from them. You will need to kill them to get at least one leather. Go towards the fields to find and kill them.
Paper
Now use the crafting table to craft paper. Open up 3*3 crafting grid and add three sugarcanes in any row, one sugarcane in each cell of the row. You will get three papers in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add these papers in your “ready to use” stock. You can use papers to make books.
Book
Now add three papers and a cow leather in 3*3 crafting grid in the same way as shown in the following image. You will get a book in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this book in your “ready to use” stock.
Chicken Feather
After that the next required item is chicken feather. Find a chicken to get a feather. You may find some chicken wandering in the fields.
Squid for Ink Sac
The next thing you will need to find is ink sacs. You will have to find and kill squid to get ink sac. Look for a squid under the ocean and use your iron sword to kill one. You will have to get at least one ink sac.
Book and Quill
Now move out of the water and go towards the crafting table to craft a book and quill. Open up 3*3 crafting grid to add book, ink sac and chicken feather in the same way as shown in the image below. You will get a book and quill in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this item into “ready to use” stock.
