Follow this guide to make a Simple Sawmill.
The first thing you have to do is to place 15 oak blocks on the ground and place five more at the top of the middle row. Use rails to hold these blocks.
After this, bring the crafting table out of your inventory and place a stone cutter just next to it.
Place six oak logs and some oak leaves on the ground in the same way as shown in the image below.
