Trapped chest is a craftable block that emits a redstone signal from all sides when opened.
To make a Trapped chest, you will need Wood Logs, Iron Ore, Iron Ingot using furnace, Wood Planks, Wood Sticks, Tripwire Hook and Wood Chest. Please follow the following steps to make Trapped Chest.
Wood Logs
In order to make a Trapped Chest, the basic item you need to get is any kind of wood log. Go towards the forest and chop down any of the trees using your iron axe to get at least three wood logs.
Iron Ore
After that the next required item that you need to find is iron ore. Equip your stone pickaxe and get at least one iron ore block. You will find some under the ground.
Iron Ingot using Furnace
Now we need to use the furnace to get iron ingot. Go towards the furnace, add coal in the lower box and iron ore in the upper box of it. A single iron ore will give you an iron ingot. Add this iron ingot into your inventory.
Wood Planks
After that, you need to make wood planks from wood logs that you have collected. Move towards the crafting table and add wood logs in any cell of 3*3 crafting grid to get wood planks in the right-side box of the crafting table. One wood block will convert into 4 wood planks, so you will get twelve planks. Bring these wood planks into inventory.
Wood Sticks
Now you need to craft sticks from wood planks. Add 8 wood planks in 3*3 crafting grid as shown in the image below. You will get sixteen wood sticks in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add them in your inventory to use later.
Tripwire Hook
Now you need to craft a tripwire hook by adding an iron ingot, a wood stick and a wood plank by following the pattern below. You will get a tripwire hook in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock
Wood Chest
Now you need to craft a wood chest. Add eight wood planks on the crafting grid in the same way as shown in the image below. You will get a wooden chest in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this wooden chest in your inventory.
Trapped Chest
Now finally you will be able to craft a trap chest using the crafting table. Add a chest box and tripwire hook in adjacent cells of any row of the 3*3 crafting grid. You will get a trapped chest in the right side box of the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock.
