This guide will let you know how to set up Mame64. Go through the guide and follow all the steps carefully to set it up.
Download Emulator
Before downloading the emulator, you have to create a new folder on your desktop. For this, right-click on your desktop, select new, and then click on New Folder. You have to name this folder “Mame”. After that, download the Mame64 from https://www.mamedev.org/. Open this link, then scroll down, and you will find the supported platforms, you have to select your platform and then click on Download. After this, it will take you to a new page where you have to select the file, and you have to select the 64bit.exe file. When you click on it, the download will start.
Once the download is complete, you need to open it up and then extract it. You need to give it a location where you want to extract it, you can give the location of your folder named Mame which you created earlier.
Now go back to your desktop and open up the Mame folder. You have to locate the folder “ROMs” After this, open the folder where you keep all of your games and copy all the games from that folder. You have to paste them into the ROMs folder.
Config Options
After this, open up the emulator by finding a little blue M logo. When the emulator is opened, click on the config option and go to the video options. The only thing you have to change here is the aspect ratio as it will play the game on a small screen. So if you want to play the game on a big screen, then you have to turn PFF to the enforce aspect ratio option.
After this, go back to the previous menu, and set up your controls. Then go to controls and use the on-screen keyboard buttons, or in case you have Xbox or PS, you can connect the controller to your phone. This emulator will also automatically detect the Bluetooth controller. For mapping, you have to go to control mapping, Now you have to click on the button you are ready to emulate as that will pop up in front of you, then hit the button you have to set up in place of that button on your controller. Once you are done click on OK. And also one more thing if you are going to use your Bluetooth controller then you have to uncheck the on-screen controls option.
After doing all this you have to click on save the configuration. Now you can load any game and enjoy playing.
