In this guide, you will learn how to set up the Dedicated Server on the Forest. You have to follow a few steps, and you will be able to do it.
To do this, you will need to go to the Tools under the Steam Library.

Then look for the Forest and install it.

Once it is installed, just go for it and click on Play. It will lead to creating the files essential in the local low folder.

Now you have to press the Windows key and R key, then search for %appdata%.

Now go to LocalLow->SKS->TheForestDedicatedServer->ds-Server and quietly put your server IP, TCP, and UDP in your router, server display name, the maximum number of players, enable VAC, password, server admin password, steam account name, the time between server autosaves, game difficulty, new or continue a game, slot to save the game, show event log, contact email for server admins.  Â

You can play the Forest on the same system as you are hosting a dedicated server. Now click on the Play button of Forest, open your dedicated server first, and then run the launcher. It will lead them to run at the same time.

Now move to the Co-op option, and click on Join Game. Then in Dedicated Internet, search your server name. There’s an issue that if your friend joins it, it still shows 0/8, for example. It isn’t very easy when it comes to the actual router configuration.

So in case, come up to the Port Forwarding.

Click on Add new port. Name it, select TCP/UDP, enter 8766 and repeat it for 27015 and 27016.
