In this guide, you will find out how to set up FREE Dedicated Server for ARMA Reforger. You have to follow the following steps to set up.
1- First, you have to make sure that you have downloaded the server and also it is installed on your PC. After this, open Steam, and search for the ARMA Reforger in your Steam library. You will find the ARMA reforger server under the tools section, you need to right-click on it, then go to Manage and click on Browse local files.
2- There, you have to create a new folder and name this folder “Configs”. After this, create a new text document and name this text document ” server.bat”. Then right-click on it and choose “edit” as this file will open in front of you. Now you have to paste this ArmaReforgerServer.exe -config “.\configs\config.json” -profile ArmaReforgerServer in this file. After this, press control S and then close this.
3- Now you have to open up the configs folder which you have just created. Right-click on it, select New and then select a text file. You need to name this text file “config.json”. After this, right-click on it and choose “edit” to open this file. Now you have to copy the whole code and paste it into the JSON file that you have just created. In case you have no mods, then you can remove the mods section in this code.
In this code, you can change your region and can also set an admin password. You can set a server name according to your choice and set a server password. After that, you need to set your scenario id to find this ID and then click on the following link https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/A… It will take you to the Startup parameters page, and you will get a list of different scenarios under the list of scenarios. After setting everything up in this file, you need to press ctrl+s to save this file. On the start-up page that you visited, you will also find some countries’ codes.
4- After that, go back, and then run your server. For this, you have to open the server.bat file as your server will start booting up, and after a few seconds, your server will start.
5- Once the server is started, you have to open the ARMA Reforger now everyone outside your network will not be able to connect to your server. Once the game is opened, you need to go to multiplayer and click on Direct Connect. You don’t need to change the IP address, you need to click on OK, then it will search and then join you to the server.
6- After connecting to your server you have to go back to the following link https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/A… Scroll down until you find the Ports as you will have to port forward these and then you need to allow these through your Windows firewall.
7- To allow all of these through your Windows firewall, you have to click on the Windows button, then search Firewall, and open the Windows defender firewall. After that, click on Inbound rules on the left of your screen and then click on New rules on the right of your screen. Select Port, click on Next and then select UDP. Inside this, you have to enter all the ports from the webpage.
You have to click on next. then allow the connection and then again click on Next. After that, you need to name this according to your choice and if you want to add a description, you can add it and then click on Finish.
8- You have to repeat the Windows Firewall step once again, click on Inbound rules on the left of your screen and then click on New Rules on the right of your screen. After that, select Port, then click on Next, and select UDP. Inside this, you have to enter all the ports from the webpage.
Then you have to click on Next and allow the connection. Then again click on Next and name this according to your choice. If you want to add a description, you can add it and then click on Finish.
After this, you will be able to join your server and all these servers will also appear on your server list and also allowing your friends to join your server.
