You can filter the server of your choice on the right side of the screen.
Step 4
After that, you have to choose a game; it is best to choose a good connection quality, i.e., a green color connection.
Here you see general information about this game, players, settings, etc.
The timer tells you when the game starts, and you can view other people playing AOE.
In single-player mode, you will have two options for spectating a game.
Step 5
Either start a game with AI’S only in single-player mode and replace your player with an AI player.
Step 6
After that, enable record games and start the game. It is like a normal game, but the AI controls your CIV.
Step 7
To use the real spectator mode offline, you will need to open the saves and replays menu. Go to replays, choose a recorded game, and click Load Replay to start.
The spectator mode looks like; there is a spectator hud on the bottom left that lets you change the players’ perspectives.
You can change the visibility options.
You can change the speed or pause the game. If necessary, you can also restart the replay.
Or switch between economy and military stats. The times and current tasks of each player are listed in the right middle.
Step 8
The next thing you have to do is click the small right arrows to minimize them.
The first player starts advancing to the feudal age.
Enable view lock, and the camera only follows actions from the selected player.
After the game, you can return to the map or check the final statistics as usual.
