In this guide, you will come to know how to turn off Free Aim in GTA 5 Online. You will also learn how to switch to Aim Assist.
To turn on the game assist, you will need to go to the game menu and then settings tab. Once you are there, you have to press down on the D-pad while in the menu.
When you press that, it will open the character selection option on the bottom right side of the screen. You have to choose your story mode character and load it up to the story mode.
When the story mode fully loads, you have to go to the menu and tap on the Setting tab. Go to control, and you have to find and change the targeting mode to Assisted Aim-Full or any other option depending on your preference, as shown in the image below.
After selecting it, you need to save it and exit the menu. Now you have to press down on your D-pad again, go back to your online character. Start GTA 5 online, and you will be back into an aim assist lobby. Now you have to check that everything is saved properly, head back to the settings and check that your targeting mode is selected to the correct preferences.
